Volvo announced today, 20 June 2022, that it has started testing hydrogen fuel cell trucks. Customer pilots will begin in a few years, and commercialisation is planned for the latter part of this decade.
The hydrogen trucks will have a range comparable to many diesel trucks – up to 1,000 kilometres – with a refuelling time of fewer than 15 minutes.
