Toyota has established a partnership with Isuzu, Hino Motors, and Commercial Japan Partnership Technologies Corporation to develop fuel cell electric light-duty trucks for distribution in Japan from 2023.
Toyota stated that the ideal use of the vehicles would be in the supermarket and convenience store sector, where several deliveries have to be made in one day and the trucks have to travel long distances.
