Norwegian Hydrogen is supplying green hydrogen to a Swedish logistics firm for use in heavy-duty fuel cell trucks. Under a “long-term contract”, heavy-duty transport and industrial machinery firm MaserFrakt will receive the molecules to support the uptake of hydrogen vehicles in its fleet.
While the contract’s terms, like sales volume or end date, have not been revealed, H2 View understands hydrogen will be supplied for Norwegian Hydrogen’s 1.3-tonne-per-day Hellesylt Hydrogen Hub. MaserFrakt has not said how many hydrogen trucks it will introduce into its fleet of more than 1,100 vehicles, including over 600 trucks.
“With green hydrogen-powered trucks, we can reduce our carbon footprint without compromising capacity or availability,” said Maserfrakt CEO, Per Bondemark.
